Seventy-three

Wow.
I'm 73. How about that!
It's been a really nice day. Joe (who turns 72 on Tuesday) are celebrating with a very fancypants dinner at the local Morton's. I am going to enjoy every bite of a nice steak. I may get it with Bearnaise sauce. I might have an alcoholic beverage. I'm definitely having dessert!
I posted my first fundraiser on Facebook for my birthday. I chose World Central Kitchen as the recipient because Jose Andres does amazing things to help folks in dire straits - not just in the US, but all over the world. The organization is in Los Angeles now, making sure folks have food to eat.
So if I can splurge on a fancypants steakhouse, I can help raise money to ensure that other folks can get a meal.
It may not come with Bearnaise sauce, but it's a start.
Anyway. I'm 73. I'm an old lady. I’m okay with being an old lady; I rather like it, in fact. I hope I get a lot older, as long as I can still think and get around. I guess we'll see as time slips away like a thief in the night.
