Baklava

I got a notification day before yesterday that I had a package waiting for me in the Amazon hub. (Yeah, my apartment complex is cool like that.) Okay, but I wasn't expecting a package just then - everything I'd ordered had been delivered. So I went down to retrieve it, wondering what it could be and who could have sent it.

I had a bit of trouble getting the package out of the slot, but I finally wriggled it out. It was a biggish box, and hefty too. I didn't recognize the return address.

Mysterious!

Well, it was a great big box of baklava! Several varieties of baklava! Traditional baklava, round baklava, baklava with pistachios, baklava with cashews, baklava with pistachios and cashews... so much extremely delicious baklava!

It's a good thing we like baklava, isn't it?

There was also a note - from my boss! He thanked me for my work and wished me a happy holiday. I have never gotten a holiday gift from a boss, much less such a tasty gift. We've been noshing on it for the last two days and have barely made a dent. I'm on a nonstop honey high. (Don't worry; I'm being careful.) (Mostly.)

I knew I liked him.
