Holidailies and Marshmallows

It's December! It's a cold-ish, cloudy day, the first day of the last month of 2023, and that means it's time for Holidailies!

The last couple of years I've gotten Advent Calendars to while away the time until Christmas. In 2021, I got the Dianmine Inkvent calendar. That one was fun! Last year, I got the Walker's Shortbread calendar. That one was delicious, but a little bit repetitive.

This year, I got the XO Marshmallow calendar!

And the first one is chai!

Chai

I like a good chai latte, so I am cool with this. It was quite mild, but I could still taste the chai-ness. What will tomorrow bring? We shall see!

Anyway, back to Holidailies and the yearly Introduction of Myself, in the form of a FAQ.

  • Why did you choose Bozoette as your handle? Two reasons: I was a circus clown in the mid-1970s (ancient history), and I love The Firesign Theater's I Think We're All Bozos On This Bus. You should check it out.
  • What? The mid-1970s? Are you old or something? Yep. I like to think of myself as mid-century modern, born smack-dab in the middle of the baby boom.
  • Shouldn't you be retired by now? Yep. But my company's health insurance is great, I like my job, and I like being able to pay my rent, so I'm still working full time.
  • So what do you do? I write software documentation for an ecommerce company. I get to work from home, even though I only live 1.5 miles from work, so that's cool. Heh.
  • What's your family situation? I've been married 43.5 years to my true love. We have one son, who is a great man. I have an older brother and a younger sister. (I had an another older brother who died before I was born, and an older sister who died during the pandemic.)

I guess that's enough for the first day of Holidailies. If the class has any other questions, please feel free to ask!
