Day 21: Eggnog
I love eggnog, so this sweet pillow of flavor was right up my alley. You might even say it hit my sweet spot.
Last night I joined a Zoom call with five of my Clown College classmates! We've been doing these calls since the pandemic, but this particular call was the first in a few months. It was great fun - we yakked about everything from families and kids and significant others to ailments and Medicare and Social Security. A million laughs! Heh.
But really, it's great to talk to these folks. I'm the outlier in the group because I'm the only one who didn't get a Ringling Brothers contract. I love hearing about the Ringling adventures and I love telling them all my stories of mud show life.
Sometimes I feel like those few years were a dream that I made up. It was almost 50 years ago, after all, and the memories have faded. But talking to these guys brings the days in the spangled big top back into sharp focus, and I am very grateful for that indeed.
