Belated Sunday Stealing

I know it's Tuesday, but I'm feeling uninspired. Therefore, it's time for Sunday Stealing!

Favorite novel and author?

The Once and Future King by T.H. White. It's my favorite take on the Arthurian Legend, too. I took a course in Arthurian Legend in college and loved it. I haven't re-read this novel in a long, long time. I think I'll find it and do that.

Favorite perfume/scent?

Joy, by Jean Patou. I first experienced this fragrance when I was 15 on a study tour of France. Naturally, this perfume is $600 per ounce, which is why I have never owned any. Alas, I do not wear perfume anymore; most perfumes give me a headache.

Coffee or tea?

Coffee. Black. Lots.

Are you a cat or dog person?

I am definitely a cat person. We have two: Little Bits, a Siamese mix who started life under our front stoop and decided that indoor living was preferable, and Taffy, a muted calico that we rescued. They tolerate each other.

Which mythical creature would you transform into if you could?

I think I would like to be a selkie.

Favorite time period?

To live in? Now, I think. If I'd lived in earlier times, even during the last century, I'd likely be dead by now.

Name 3 films that have changed your life and have shaped you into the person you are today.

Changed my life? Shaped me into the person I am today? I'm not real sure that movies have that power, but here are three that affected me greatly as I was growing up:

Pearls for elegance; diamonds for sparkle.

What’s your biggest dream?

Retirement.

I want to go back to Ireland and explore the Wild Atlantic Way.

Reginald Jeeves.

Do you prefer the forest or the ocean? why?

The ocean. The sound of waves crashing on the beach soothes my soul.

Integrity and kindness. A good sense of humor is nice too.
