What's Cookin'?

Since my diagnosis, I've realized that we've been in a bit of a rut, culinarily speaking -- the same plain meals, week after week. Breakfast: cereal. Lunch: Lean Cuisine, applesauce cup. Snack: granola bar. Dinner: some type of meat, starch (rice, potato, toast...), occasional vegetable, ice cream. The Messages Are Getting Louder

It's getting late -- 10:30. Joe's already gone to bed, but he had the last of his skin cancer removed yesterday so he's allowed. This bit was a mixture of basal cell and squamous cell, a lovely cancer stew on the tip of his nose. He's got a big wad of bandage on the wound, kinda like a bulbous white clown nose. A Year Goes By Like Nothing

One year ago today, this happened: Here are ten things about that momentous day. We got up really early to be ready when the movers arrived. They were a half-hour late. It didn't matter -- they were great! Tom the Foreman explained everything and we pretty much got out the way, busying ourselves with last-minute packing and loading the car with delicate stuff. Brunch, Bras, and Socks

It was such a pretty day, that we decided to spend much of it outside. First we headed off to Petco to replenish the cat necessities, then we went to lunch.
