Ten Things About This Blizzard
Church Street: Lutheran Church of St. Andrew

I am sitting here watching one of many features about the Olympics before the opening ceremonies get underway and already I am loving it.

I have always loved the Olympics. I watched them with my Pop when I was a kid, when my favorite events were the figure skating events. I watched them with Joe in 1980, the year we got married, the year the Miracle Team USA won the gold in hockey and Tai and Randy flamed out.

I still love all of the skating events, from the intense short-track speed skating to the fantastic ice dancing to the hard-fought hockey games.

But I also love the skiing, Alpine and Nordic, and the wild and woolly snowboarding, and the luge and the bobsled and YES! Even the curling.

There has already been tragedy for this Olympics; it's awful and so sad. Yet, I will still watch as many events as I can. Because it's the Olympics. And I always watch the Olympics.
