Day 11 → Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
This one is really easy. I get the most compliments on my pumpkin pie, which is the best pumpkin pie in the whole entire world. I have even gotten emails from complete strangers who found the recipe through a Google search telling me how awesome this pie is. Modesty, however, prevents me from taking full credit for this creation, because it's my gramma's recipe.
So (if you celebrate it) how was your Thanksgiving? Ours was laid back and lovely, despite cloudy and cold weather. We lazed around for most of the day, because I did not have to make the BPPITWEW. Then we hopped in the car and headed down to the Annapolis area to eat with my cousin, his wife (the architect of the feast), her daughter, their neighbor, my brother, and my sister-in-law. We have a family pact to avoid discussing politics -- why ruin a perfectly fine family gathering? -- so we swapped stories and stuffed our faces and had a fine old time.
Then Joe got up in the dead of night to go to work -- he had to be at the store at 4:45 am to fend off the hordes of Black Friday shoppers. He got home in mid-afternoon, only slightly battered, and we promptly went out to dinner.
And tomorrow? Alas, back to work!
