Thanks, UPS!

The God of UPS smiled upon me today. This package was supposed to arrive tomorrow. Normally this would be fine and dandy, but we are planning on booking out of here early for Ocean City and this is not the kind of package that I would want to have sitting on the front stoop for three days, especially since it's likely to rain.

I figured I would call the UPS distribution center near us and have them hold the goods until we could pick them up next week, so I fired up the UPS web site and pasted in the tracking number.

Lo and behold, my package was sent for delivery today! WOO!

Of course, I wanted to race home as soon as I could reasonably sneak out of work, but I promised to take some dinner to Joe and then visit with Mom (since I was so cruelly abandoning her and not taking her to the beach with us), so I had to restrain my impatience.

Finally, though, I made it home, parked the car, and there it was on the stoop: a beautiful, beautiful UPS box, containing my Washington Capitals season tickets.
