The loveliest sunsets come after the storm.
It's about 6:30 am. I woke up to the soft sound of Mom's walker whispering over the carpet. I was sure she would call to me for help, or to suggest coffee, or to talk about her headache.
But she went back to bed! I'm hopeful that this is a good sign. Then again, it could be a bad sign. Who knows?
Her blood pressure is coming down, but it's still way high. What I find both interesting and aggravating is the disagreement between the home health nurses/physical therapists and the cardiologist/internist. The nurse and physical therapist think that the blood pressure medication is causing the headache and therefore should be stopped; the cardiologist and internist think the high blood pressure is causing the headache and therefore the medication should be increased.
So who do you believe? The cardiologist, who trained residents at Washington Hospital Center, or the visiting nurse, who knows what she looks up in her portable reference guide?
For me, that's not a hard choice. I'm going with the cardiologist.
Anyway, Mom's calling. Keep a good thought, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your thoughts, prayers, hugs, light, and love.
